Scholarship
This open water swim is a fundraiser for a scholarship to be awarded
to a local graduating senior planning to swim at the collegiate
level. The recipient is not necessarily the fastest swimmer.
Preference is given to a senior that has shown dedication to
swimming and has been an inspiration to other swimmers. Our desire is to
acknowledge a student that treats others with respect, provides a
role model, and takes a positive approach to life. These traits
represented Steve Omi’s character.

Scholarship Application
Applicant requirements:
* Must have swum for an organized competitive swim program in Kootenai County during the previous 12 months
* Must Attend College the semester following graduation
* Will be participating in a collegiate swim program
Application Requirements
* Attach 2 references to application(see application for details)
* Attach a copy of your high school transcript(s).
* Attach essay on representing the standard the name of Steve Omi
* Return completed application(with attachments) postmarked by April 18th
